Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership of Generated Content

All sentences, audio pronunciations, and educational content generated through Voca Bee's platform (collectively, "Generated Content") are the exclusive property of Voca Bee and its licensors.

The Generated Content is created through a proprietary process that involves substantial human input, including but not limited to:

• Custom prompt engineering and design
• User-specific vocabulary selection and curation
• Quality control and filtering mechanisms
• Sentence selection and prioritization algorithms
• User feedback integration and quality improvement
• Content association and personalization logic

As such, the Generated Content represents a collaborative work combining artificial intelligence tools with significant human creative input, selection, arrangement, and curation. Voca Bee retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Generated Content, including all intellectual property rights therein.

User License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Voca Bee grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Generated Content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes in connection with your use of the Voca Bee service.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Generated Content
• Use the Generated Content for any commercial purpose
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Generated Content
• Share, sell, or otherwise transfer the Generated Content to third parties

Third-Party AI Services

Voca Bee utilizes third-party artificial intelligence services to assist in content generation, including but not limited to:

• OpenAI - For sentence generation
• Google Gemini - For sentence generation
• Alibaba Qwen - For text-to-speech audio generation
• ElevenLabs - For text-to-speech audio generation

However, the final Generated Content is the result of Voca Bee's proprietary processes, substantial human input, and creative selection. Voca Bee's use of third-party AI services does not affect Voca Bee's ownership of the Generated Content.

User Data Ownership

Your Word Bank and Learning Statistics

You own and retain all rights to your personal data, including:

• Your Word Bank: The Chinese words you have added to your vocabulary list
• Learning Statistics: Your review history, progress tracking, spaced repetition data, and performance metrics
• User Preferences: Your account settings and personalization choices

You may export your data at any time using Voca Bee's data export features. Upon account deletion, you may request a copy of your data before it is permanently removed from our systems. To request data export or account deletion, please contact us through the Contact page.

License to Use Your Data

By using Voca Bee, you grant Voca Bee a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and process your data to provide the Voca Bee service
• Generate personalized content (sentences, audio) based on your word bank
• Use anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement, analytics, and research purposes

Voca Bee will not:

• Share your personal word bank or learning statistics with third parties without your consent
• Use your personal data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Claim ownership of your personal word bank or learning statistics

Data Portability

You have the right to export your data in a machine-readable format. Voca Bee provides tools to export your word bank and learning statistics. You may use this exported data for any purpose, including importing it into other services. To request data export, please contact us through the Contact page.
